A Loving Relationship With God
Our Most Important Purpose In Life

Man was created to have fellowship with God. Our efforts to reach toward God through religion, good works, morality, etc., don't work. They all fall short. Christ's death on the cross bridged the gap that separated us from God. We become a Christian by placing our faith in Christ. In doing so we are born again and become a child of God. Through God's grace we are forgiven and given eternal life even though we don't deserve it.

(These are the verses referenced in the diagram above)

Genesis 2:17 “But you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

John 14:6  “Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Acts 16:31 “They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household."

Ephesians 2:8,9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Acts 10:43 “All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."

Acts 13:38,39 “Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could not be justified from by the Law of Moses.”

John 5:24 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.”

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

John 14: 5-7 Jesus the Way to the Father Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?" Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."

Romans 3:21-31 “But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.”
